Yes, to ensure comfort and safety, all RESET® procedures, including RESET Full Face, require either general or tumescent anesthesia.

Adults with light to medium skin tones are typically eligible. Due to the nature of deep laser resurfacing, it’s not recommended for those with dark skin tones; alternative treatments are available for these patients. Individuals with health conditions that make anesthesia risky, or those with previous cosmetic surgeries, will need a personalized evaluation by Dr. Scheiner.

Recovery varies by individual but generally involves 10-14 days for the emergence of new skin, which remains delicate for some time. Strict adherence to Dr. Scheiner’s healing protocol is crucial for optimal results, with follow-up visits scheduled to monitor progress.

Pain is typically minimal, with most patients finding over-the-counter pain relief sufficient for any discomfort experienced.

As with any surgery, there are risks, which are detailed in our consent forms. The most common include prolonged redness or swelling beyond the initial recovery period. Extended pinkness or redness can usually be concealed with makeup and may be treated with specific light therapies.

Unlike more superficial laser treatments that offer minimal downtime but fleeting results, RESET® involves intensive resurfacing for significant, enduring improvements. It’s a deeper, more comprehensive approach than treatments like Fraxel or IPL, and is designed for those seeking profound rejuvenation.

RESET® procedures are self-pay, as Dr. Scheiner’s practice does not process insurance claims. These treatments are considered elective cosmetic surgeries and are not typically covered by health insurance.
